A career at sea can be mentally challenging. Hazardous conditions, social isolation and increasing demands due to leaner manned vessels may result in seafarers suffering from stress. The signs and symptoms of stress are often ignored, or may not be recognised by the crew or their colleagues.
This course highlights the physical and mental changes which may be experienced by seafarers while working within this dynamic industry. Most importantly, this course provides practical techniques which may assist with stress reduction and stress management.
